FAQs

How far in advance should I book?

If you already know your dates, I’d always recommend booking sooner rather than later — especially around school holidays as things can fill up quite quickly. I try to keep my diary manageable so I can give every family proper time and attention. That said, if you’re enquiring last minute, please don’t hesitate to ask. If I can make it work, I absolutely will.

What happens if I’m running late?

I know how unpredictable life can be — traffic, work, school runs… it happens. Just keep me in the loop if you’re running behind. If I need to stay a little longer, that time will just be added on at my usual rate. As long as we’re communicating, everything stays simple and stress-free.

Do you charge extra for weekends and holidays?

At the moment, my standard rates apply across the week. If anything ever changes in the future, I would always be clear about that before confirming a booking — but right now there are no added weekend or holiday fees.

Do you always follow routines?

Yes, always. I know how important routine is for children and pets, and how much it helps them feel settled. I’ll stick as closely as possible to what they’re used to — whether that’s mealtimes, nap schedules, school runs, or bedtime rituals — so everything feels familiar and comfortable.

Do you prepare meals?

I’m happy to prepare simple meals and snacks if needed. Just leave instructions and I’ll follow them carefully. I aim to keep things relaxed and consistent, just as you would at home.

Are you comfortable with bedtime routines?

Definitely. Bedtime should feel calm and reassuring. Whether it’s bath time, stories, or just a quiet wind-down before sleep, I’ll keep everything gentle and familiar so they feel safe and ready to settle.

What ages do you work with?

I’ve worked with a range of ages, from new born/ toddlers to 15 years and naturally adapt depending on what each child needs. Every child is different, so we can always have a chat beforehand to make sure it feels like the right fit for everyone.

Do you work with reactive or nervous dogs and pets?

I’m happy to work with dogs or pets who may be nervous, anxious or just excitable. Even if they’re a little reactive on lead or around new people — as long as I’m made aware beforehand. Every dog has their own personality, and I’m more than happy to adjust routes and pace to suit them.

However, I’m not able to take on dogs with a known history of aggression or previous attacks. Safety is always my priority — for your dog, other dogs, and myself.

Do you administer medication?

I can give basic medication with clear instructions. If you’re unsure about something, just ask — I’m always happy to talk it through.

What happens in the event of an emergency?

If anything unexpected happens, I’ll contact you straight away and take the right steps calmly and quickly. Your child’s or pet’s safety will always come first.

Are you insured and dbs checked?

Yes, I’m fully insured and hold an up-to-date DBS check. I understand how important trust is when inviting someone into your home or caring for your loved ones, and I take that responsibility seriously.

If there’s anything you’re unsure about, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You’re more than welcome to use the contact form — even if it’s just for a quick question.
